The company began its life as J*A*C*K* Scot Equipment Hire Limited in 1981, supplying and maintaining high pressure hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and instrumentation, and providing calibration services and electrical products.

Growth in service and equipment provision was rapid and we were soon acknowledged as leaders in the field. Our reputation led to more acquisitions and an extension of our service provision. We launched Scotech International Services in January 1996, a rebranding which reflected the global extent of our influence and impact.

The intention at all times has been to keep on improving and stay ahead of trends and needs. Through the eighties and nineties, we opened new offices, laboratories and workshops, established a significant presence in Singapore and Nigeria, and now, in the new century, our expansion continues in Malaysia and with our 2003 launch in Houston.

Today, from established bases in Aberdeen, Newcastle and Great Yarmouth and through international offices and agents, we deliver equipment and related services to clients throughout the oil and gas industry, never compromising the key requirements of availability, reliability and price.
